LEARN MORE ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Lynda and I am a Family and Funeral Celebrant based in Medway, Kent. Over the years I have organised and conducted many civil weddings and funerals for my friends and family. I enjoyed this so much that I decided to take my skills to the next level by enrolling with an academy to become a Civil Celebrant and Counsellor. After dedicating a lot of my time and passion to my studies, I am now qualified in these fields.

I am a mother to a daughter and have three wonderful grandchildren who I try and see as often as I can. I also volunteer at our local hospital and I'm honoured to be a trustee for a charity that spans the UK. I'm a good listener and have been told that I have a great sense of humour.

Why settle for a traditional church wedding when you can personalise your ceremony yourself? By using my services as a Civil Celebrant, we can work together to tell your love story exactly how you want it to be told.

Your unique, bespoke and tailored wedding ceremony will capture the essence of you and your partner, making the day perfect for you both. As your celebrant, I can guide you through the process and start to get to know you  months before your wedding day. I have a strong desire to help you to create special memories through your celebrant-led wedding.

Your special day will be totally personalised to how you want it, including writing your own vows, or allowing me to work with you to find the right words. I can organise weddings anywhere you'd like to get married, whether that be in a garden, a lake or even a funfair! And if you have specific theme in mind too then I'm not adverse to dressing for the occasion to fit in.

Losing someone you love can be one of the hardest experiences we face in life and arranging a funeral while still grieving can be challenging for everyone involved. My job is to make things easier for you and take the pressure off you at this difficult time.

We have a choice in how we leave this life, just as we have a choice in how we have lived our lives. I can create a personalised farewell to reflect the life and character of the person you have lost, a wonderful send off surrounded by those who loved and cared for them.

You can choose the style and content of the funeral most suited to your loved one, this could be their favourite readings, poetry or music they enjoyed, and personal tributes from people who knew them best. At all times, I'll work with the people they were closest to, making sure everyone's wishes are considered and included.

If you have any specific requests on how we can create the perfect farewell then please just ask me and I'll do all I can to accommodate them.

Your family's naming ceremony should be a relaxed and fun way of welcoming children into your lives. Although they're commonly associated with new births, they can also be used as an opportunity to welcome your adopted child or the blending of families.

They're much more relaxed than a typical church service and can be as formal or informal as you like - the ceremony can be held wherever you want.

You can write your own speeches, hold it at any location you choose, and have other guests contributing too. Perhaps your child has a favourite superhero or cartoon character - I can accommodate themes you may have in mind and be happy to dress for the occasion to fit in and give your child the special day they deserve.
